Black Health Coalition of Wisconsin

About

Since its inception in 1988, the Black Health Coalition (BHC) remains at the forefront of health issues impacting African -Americans and other underprivileged populations in Wisconsin. With 26 organizations and 19 individual members, we have a variety of programs to meet the needs of our communities. Whether issuing a health manifesto to public or private officials, or rallying for equal access to healthcare for minorities, the BHC has gained a reputation for being the voice of people who are generally unheard.

As a basis for concentration, the BHC adopted the concerns of the Health and Human Services’ Secretary Task Force on Black and Minority Health. We approach our mission with two primary guiding principals in play, EMPOWERMENT of our community as a resource and INCLUSION of outside resources who are sincerely interested in advancing our agenda. As one of the WAATPN partners, the Black Health Coalition is working with the state of Wisconsin to help you and your community become tobacco-free. We need you to take the next step by contacting us today. Remember, your courage to quit can cause others to quit.
