Our MISSION:
-
Health care is a right for all
citizens.
-
The elimination of health
disparities must be number on health priority.
-
No decision about changes in current
health care delivery system should be without significant input from the
communities most affected by those changes.
-
There must be recognition that the
availability of health care services and manpower along is not enough to improve
the health status of African Americans.
-
A coordinated system of care must be
established.
-
A funding mechanism should be
created should be created that will provide for the future survival of
institutions that historically have been developed by and serve the African
American community.
-
There should be mandated quality
assurance in all delivery systems.
-
All health care institutions should
be required to have for public display all research being conducted in their
institutions involving African Americans.
-
We support legislation for a
National Health care system but with a public/private financing partnership.
